The mixed-use redevelopment-anchored by a Home Depot and Sam'sClub-already witnessed the opening of a 130,000-sf Home Depotearlier this year, and construction on several other stores isunderway or will be started this fall, said Dale Countegan, theFarmington Hills director of planning and communitydevelopment.

The 650,000-sf project, discussed for more than a decade anddeveloped by Farmington Hills-based Grand Sakwa Properties Inc., ison Northwestern Highway east of Orchard Lake Road.

The Sam's Club, now under construction, will total about 150,000sf once completed and is expected to be open this fall. A TGIFriday's restaurant that is 5,000 - 6,000 sf is also on target toopen this fall.
