The hospital says primary care physician practice and administrative offices currently located in the building will be consolidated elsewhere on the campus. "This real estate sale is another step in implementing our recovery plan," says Paul Levy, Beth Israel Deaconess president and CEO. "We continue to assess our real estate and space needs and are delighted to be able to help a neighbor with similar goals."
Sandra Fenwick, COO at Children's Hospital Boston, says it will use the space to relocate some administrative functions from the hospital, making room for expansion of clinical services on the Longwood Avenue campus.
