And while agents at the Trump International Hotel and Tower sales center have handled about 100 inquiries, their counterparts have sold nearly 80% of the 207 units at The Lancaster since the marketing effort began a year ago. Occupancy is expected in 2005.

Average sales price at Magellan Development's The Lancaster has been $371 per sf, according to Appraisal Research Counselors, a considerable difference from the lofty prices at Trump International Hotel and Tower, where units are expected to command up to $800 per sf.

The Lancaster is the first residential building in Lakeshore East, which eventually will be a new East Loop neighborhood over what once was the Illinois Central Gulf Railroad right-of-way.
