The space represents an expansion for the financial services firm, which it says will help it boost efficiency and collaboration. Wachovia was represented by Jonathan Varholak and Michael Frisoli, partners, and Ron Friedman, associate, of Richards Barry Joyce & Partners. Property owner Archon Atlantic was represented by Spaulding & Slye Colliers.
Eric Romm, regional manager for Wachovia Securities, says the park is a prime location for the firm. "We were particularly interested in a space that would allow us to place all our employees on the same floor, to create a better working environment," he adds.
The park, which overlooks Route 128 and is near the Massachusetts Turnpike and Route 30, consists of three interconnected office buildings of 170,000 sf, 44,000 sf and 39,000 sf as well as a 10,000 sf bridge building on a 23-acre campus. As part of the $12 million redevelopment, the eight-story tower has been expanded and features a fitness center and cafeteria.
