The logistics provider was represented by the CB Richard Ellis team of Frank Geraci, Walt Chenoweth and Dan de la Paz in CBRE's Ontario office, with Michael Chavez, Bill Heim and Scott Ostlund of Lee & Associates representing Opus West.

Geraci says CHEP, which is taking space at 8950 Rochester Dr. in Rancho Cucamonga, is expected to begin operations at the new facility in October, following completion of tenant improvements. Chenoweth tells GlobeSt.com that the facility will be the first of its kind in Southern California for CHEP, which is one of the world's largest specialists in pallet and plastic container pooling. The all-new facility will fill half of the recently completed Opus West building, which is called Rancho Technology Park and is near the intersection of Rochester Drive and Sixth Street. CHEP will occupy the western portion of the 201,000-sf building, with the eastern portion as yet to be filled.

CHEP's pallet-sharing service involves the shared use of pallets and reusable containers by multiple customers or users. The firm utilizes more than 200 million reusable pallets and containers to provide equipment pooling solutions for more than 100,000 customers in 38 countries.
