After serving several internships at the Minnetonka-based Opus Northwest, one of the Opus Group of companies, he joined the project management group as a full-time employee in March 2000. Among his first projects were the Metris build out at Crescent Ridge, Minnesota Valley III, and the Golden Valley Foods improvements.
Parrino was cited by Craig Larson, senior project manager at Opus Northwest, for his contributions to the Opus projects at Arbor Lakes, including the recently opened The Shoppes at Arbor Lakes in Maple Grove, MN. The Shoppes, Minnesota's first lifestyle centers, is the 411,000-sf project is the third phase of Arbor Lakes, which now has 1.1 million sf of retail space.
The developer of the $90 million project, which is about fourth-fifths leased, was developed by Minnetonka, MN-based Opus Northwest and Kansas City-based Red Development.
Opus Northwest is the Midwest affiliate of Opus Group, a Minneapolis-based design, construction and development firm which has 26 million sf of project under development spread among 27 offices.
