The buyers, William Nuckolls and Terry Taylor, plan to open a wholesale auto auction for dealers only on the former Honda property in January.
William Parke, senior vice president, Carter & Associates, and Carter associate Sher Tolan represented AutoNation. Parke tells GlobeSt.com the option price will be disclosed when the second phase of the deal is completed. "The purchase of the properties will exceed $5 million," Parke adds.
The former Honda site consists of four equal-sized lots, two of which are improved. The remaining lots, about 13 acres, are unimproved.
Parke says he and Tolan have represented AutoNation in the purchase or sale of six properties in Central Florida. They include the sale of the Magic Isuzu property; the purchase of the new Honda location on Rinehart Road in Sanford, FL and the new Porsche dealership on US 17-92; and a long-term lease on a new Mercedes Benz dealership at Millenia Mall.
