That deal has an aggregate rent value of more than $1.6 million, according to CBRE brokers David Nixon, Steve Hughes and Chad Burd who represented FedEx. Todd Carter of Majestic Realty negotiated for the building's owners, Majestic-Norcross II and Northwestern Mutual. The seven-year-old building has a base rent of $3 per sf.

In a second leasing transaction, the W.S. Badcock Corp. of Mulberry, FL is taking 62,000 sf at 5250 Frontage Rd. in suburban Forest Park, GA. That four-year lease is valued at an estimated $1.4 million, based on average asking rents of $5 to $6 per sf.

Badcock, a regional furniture and home furnishings manufacturer with 350 centers in the Southeast, plans to move in during November. CBRE brokers Todd Barton and Greg Haynes negotiated for Badcock.

Locally based Art Plumbing paid Oatey Co. of Cleveland $1.4 million, or $46.93 per sf, for a 30,000-sf, 25-year-old industrial building at 1847 South Cobb Dr. CBRE broker Brent Weitnauer represented Oatey. Peyton McWhirter of McWhirter Realty Corp. negotiated for Art Plumbing.
