In a deal announced by CB Richard Ellis, Wsthof-Trident purchased the property from SEFAR America. SEFAR decided to put the property on the market earlier this year when it decided to consolidate its warehouse operations to one New Jersey location, CB Richard Ellis officials say.

CB Richard Ellis' William V. Cuddy, Jr., Steven Bardsley and Budd Wiesenberg represented SEFAR in the transaction. Jayne Morelock of Century 21 Mulvey Real Estate of Yorktown Heights represented Wstof-Trident in the transaction.

The company, based in Solingen, Germany, plans to relocate immediately from its current 12,000 sf offices at 200 Brady Ave in Hawthorne to the Briarcliff Manor building. Cuddy notes that the deal marks a significant expansion of Wsthof-Trident's Westchester operations. The Highland Ave. building will house a number of corporate operations. The property consists of 25,268 sf of office space, 30,000-sf of warehouse space and 12,133 sf of research/lab space.

Commenting on the deal, Cuddy says that the sale of SEFAR's longtime headquarters was a good fit. "Though the building has the potential for multi-tenancy, it is best suited for an owner/occupant," Cuddy notes. " Finding a corporate user to buy the 65,000-sf building, however, in a market where the average tenant occupies less than 10,000 sf was challenging, particularly because we sought a buyer that needed the same unique combination of space as that which exists at 333 South Highland Ave."
