The seller of the property, BlueRidge Paper Co., was represented in the transaction by senior vice president Michele Andre and sales associates Michael Kerins and Barbara Ismail of Weichert Commercial Brokerage, Morris Plains, NJ. The Mercedes-Benz dealership was spoken for by Debbie Meyers of Newmark Associates Inc., Whippany, NJ. Details of the transaction, including the sale price, were not disclosed.

"Mercedes Benz of Morristown purchased the property because business has been so good that it needed to expand to meet demand," according to Andre. "Not only are they going to occupy the new building, but they also plan to continue using their current facility in Morristown.

"The company plans to use the new building as a combination showroom, repair facility and parts center," adds Andre, who recently closed on several other transactions in both Morristown and nearby Cedar Knolls, NJ. She is also currently marketing a 48,500-sf industrial building for sublease in Parsippany, NJ, and 8,000 sf of office space for direct lease in Morristown.

The new Mercedes-Benz of Morristown facility sits on a 13-acre site here, according to Andre. The asset includes just over 36,000 sf of built-out office space, can accommodate almost 200 cars and 15 trailers and has 20-ft ceilings throughout more than 110,000 sf. There is also railroad siding available.
