Oltmans, who previously served as president/CEO, assumes a post once held by his late father, O.H. "Bud" Oltmans. His grandfather, J.O. Oltmans, founded Oltmans Construction Co. 75 years ago in Los Angeles. Oltmans, 64, has been with Oltmans Construction Co. since 1962 and will continue to oversee overall company operations. He joins Robert M. Holmes as co-chairman. Holmes, having served Oltmans for over 50 years, will continue to serve the company in an advisory role as co-chairman. Gormly, 56, becomes president after serving as senior vice president since 1985. As president he will oversee all day-to-day construction activities of the company, Oltmans said. Gormly becomes only the fifth president in the firm's seven-decade history. Besides his duties at Oltmans, Gormly has also taught construction management courses at UCLA and has served as a member of the board of directors of the Orange County Chapter of NAIOP.
