Epicor will relocate in April 2004 from its two-story, 120,000-sf space at 195 Technology Drive in southeast Irvine to floors 5, 6, 10 and 11 at its new offices at 18200 Von Karman Ave.
Michael Piraino, CFO at Epicor, says that the company will need less space in its new location, due in part to the availability of a neighboring fitness center and hotel conference facilities. Epicor was represented by Kim Josephson of Real Estate & Logistics Technology Inc.
The Irvine Center Towers complex, located at the intersection of Von Karman Avenue and Michelson Drive in central Irvine, comprises four 11-story towers of class A office space, totaling 866,160 sf. The campus also includes a Prego Ristorante and the Irvine Marriott Hotel.
Epicor's relocation to the ICT campus reflects a recent trend in which firms are seeking high-rise space in the John Wayne airport area rather than the smaller suburban buildings, says Greg May, SVP and Southern California leasing director at Transwestern. "We're seeing a number of tenants seeking class A office space in this market for the first time," May says. May and Dave Girty of Transwestern represented the landlord, a joint venture of Chicago-based Transwestern Investment Co. and CIGNA.
