BRS-San Diego Commerce Center of California sold the properties as part of a plan to divest a portfolio of more than 20 buildings, Pete Klees, with Grubb & Ellis/BRE Commercial tells GlobeSt.com. JRB Bakery picked up a 14,545-sf industrial building at 1135 W. Geneva for $905,000 while RCI, a fire sprinkler contractor, bought a 12,038-sf industrial property with about an acre of land at 1220 W. Geneva for $940,000.
Both Tempe properties were among four buildings in the Southern Avenue and Priest Drive industrial park that were sold by BRS-San Diego in the past year, Klees says. The seller, which has about seven buildings left to hawk from a portfolio acquisition, opted for individual sales to glean more than what could be had from a packaged asset disposition, he notes. Klees assisted both parties in the transaction.
