In the transaction, Genera was represented by Gary Green of Resource Realty. Details of the deal were not disclosed.
"This is the first lease signing at 5 Fitzgerald Ave.," according to James Murray, vice president of Matrix. "The location of this facility met all of Genera's business and operational needs."
When it's completed, the facility will be a pre-cast structural concrete, single-story, 230,000-sf building with 36-ft clear ceilings, according to Murray. Designed by Venezia & Associates of New Brunswick, NJ, the asset's remaining 78,000 sf are currently available.
The signing is the latest in a series of sizable deals totaling more than two million sf that Matrix, which is based here, has done recently in the market. Most recently, the company concluded a 600,000-sf land sale to DaimlerChrysler at Matrix Business Park in Washington Township, NJ.
In addition, Matrix did a 500,000-sf build-to-suit transaction with McMaster Carr, also at Matrix Business Park; and a 436-df build-to-suit warehouse/distribution transaction with WW Grainger at Northeast Business Park in Washington Township.
