The undertaking, Cartergrove Plantation, would have 3,350 single-family and townhomes, 70 acres of commercial, 52 acres of public space and 700 acres of green space about 30 miles northwest of Downtown Atlanta.
Rezoning hearings are scheduled for January. The project could break ground by year-end 2004, area industrial brokers familiar with comparable ventures tell GlobeSt.com.
The proposed site is in south Cartersville and Bartow County, south of Old Alabama Road and west of US 41.
