Mark Sigler of the local office of Voit Commercial Brokerage says businessis going extremely well for Mission, which will quadruple its size with thenew facility, where it will expand from an existing location in LagunaNiguel. Sigler and Chris Deason, also of Voit's local office, representedthe motorcycle and watercraft retailer in the acquisition of the 2.6 acresof industrially zoned land. The Voit brokers say that Mission will operatethe building as its main retail and service center. Mission outgrew itsexisting 9,200-sf facility in Laguna Niguel after a few years of robustretail sales, explains Sigler. He says the watercraft retailer initiallyplanned to buy an existing building that would have required extensivetenant improvements to meet its showroom needs. The Voit brokers determinedthat acquiring land, hiring contractors, and developing the building fromthe ground up would be more cost effective.

Mission has retained architectural firm LPA and development firm ArrowDevelopment for the project, which is scheduled to break ground inDecember. The company plans to have its new showroom open for business bySeptember 2004.

Mike Hartell and Kevin Turner of the Irvine office of Colliers SeeleyInternational represented the seller, Irvine Community Development Co., inthe $3.3-million sale of the land to Mission.
