Atlantic Station sources also say Brown's son, Scott, is leaving the project to go into other business fields. Charles Brown has been an local developer for 40 years and participated in numerous high-profile commercial projects such as Technology Park/Atlanta Inc. in Norcross, GA and Atlanta's Lenox Park.
At Atlantic Station, Charles Brown headed the office leasing team and is credited with helping sign SouthTrust Bank and the law firm of Arnall Golden Gregory to long-term, multi-million-dollar leases. The project's first office tower, completing construction, is expected to open in May.
