Rann Professional Building LLC will buy a city-owned site at the northwest corner of Roosevelt Road and Central Park Avenue for the appraised value of $85,000 as part of his $550,000 project that will allow him to continue providing medical service in the low-income Lawndale neighborhood. Following Tuesday's endorsement of the land sale by the community development commission, construction is expected to start this spring with completion projected for next fall.
Khurana already has lined up a $450,000 loan from Northern Trust.
In addition to four examination rooms, the building will be topped by a 1,600-sf "green" roof.
