Forster began is career in 1979 in the London office of Continental Illinois National Bank of Chicago's trust real properties division. Prior to joining Marcus & Millichap, he operated his own real estate brokerage firm in Stuart, FL. Forster was one of the founders of Cypress Partners Inc., a brokerage, development and management company in South Florida.
He has served on various boards of directors, including the London board of Textainer and is a former general manager of Textainer Gulf in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
