The Houston-headquartered Jones & Carter Inc., which has offices in Dallas and Austin, acquired Sitech Engineering at 1544 Sawdust Rd. in the summer and immediately set out in search of a new Woodlands location. Pollard Galipp of Cypressbrook Co. in the Woodlands tells GlobeSt.com that Venture Tech III at 8701 New Trails Dr. was selected because it is one of the few single-story buildings in the area. The firm signed a medium-term lease.
Vista Woodlands Partners Ltd., the Houston owner of the 58,637-sf Venture Tech III and a sister property, used Cathie Lee Mann of Vista Management to negotiate the terms for a building with rates that range from $14 per sf to $15.50 per sf gross.
