Inland Pays $138 Per SF for Town Centre

DARIEN, IL-Former owners 75th and Lyman Cos. get $30 million from Inland Western Retail Real Estate Trust for Darien Town Centre, which is anchored by a 109,200-sf Home Depot, with Circuit City and PetSmart holding down another 58,471 sf.

"You couldn't ask for better tenants in a shopping center," says Inland Real Estate Acquisitions Inc. president Joe Cosenza.

It certainly is attractive to do-it-yourselfers, electronics aficionados and pet lovers. Anchored by a 109,200-sf Home Depot, Darien Town Centre also includes a 32,984-sf Circuit City and a 25,487-sf PetSmart. Also leasing space at the southeast corner of 75th Street and Lyman Avenue are Panera Bread, Jenny Craig and Great Clips, with TGI Friday's operating from an outlot.

Inland Real Estate Acquisitions SVP Karen Kautz assisted Cosenza in the purchase while CB Richard Ellis managing director Paul Chapman handled negotiations for 75th and Lyman Cos.
