The site, generally bounded by Dale and Arundel streets, Minnehaha Avenue and railroad tracks, has been at the top of the Port Authority's list for a business center. The site is part of what is known as the Dale Street Shops and will be an extension of the Port Authority's 22-acre Great Northern Business Center at Dale and Topping streets.
The deal involves the Port Authority spending about $3.3 million to clean up the site and the railroad providing $1.3 million for redevelopment.
A Port Authority spokesman says the redevelopment agency has no tenants at this time, but is pursuing prospects for the new center, which will be the extension of the 22-acre Great Northern Business Center.
