The California facilities are the 228-bed Corona Regional Medical Center, the 112-bed French Medical Center in San Luis Obispo, and the 65-bed Arroyo Grande Community Hospital in Arroyo Grande. Pendleton Methodist, a 306-bed facility, was an affiliate of Dallas-based Methodist Health System.
Universal Health is among the country's largest hospital companies. It operates acute care and behavioral health hospitals, ambulatory and radiation centers nationwide as well as in Puerto Rico and France. It acts as the advisor to Universal Health Realty Income Trust, a REIT that trades on the NYSE under the call letters, UHT and is also based here. The price of the acquisitions is undisclosed.
