Life Storage Centers recently paid $5 million for the nine-acre property, which according to property records had been acquired by the seller, Zylstra LLC, for $4.25 million in June. The operator of self-storage locations in nearby Algonquin and Hoffman Estates will use the former retail giant's store for a container store as well as climate-controlled storage space.
Paine/Wetzel-ONCOR International Inc. SVPs James D. Wetzel and G. Pat Ryan brokered the most recent sale of the property, which originally was owned by Indianapolis-based retail REIT Simon Property Group.
