The four-building Marina center, located at 13160 Mindanao Way and 4499, 4501, 4503 and 4505 Glencoe Ave., formerly was managed by Equity Office Properties, a Chicago-based REIT that recently sold the asset to Hankey. The 13160 Mindanao Way property is a three-story office building, while 4499, 4501, 4503 and 4505 Glencoe Ave. are two-story flex buildings. The center's tenants include Nike, CancerVax and Cogent. The business center is adjacent to the Villa Marina Center, which includes many restaurants, hotels, and movie theaters.
The center will be managed by Chris Strickfaden, SVP of operations and leasing for PM, and Jim Proehl, managing director at PM in Newport Beach. The assignment brings the total of property under management by PM to 6.4 million sf in L.A. County, 22 million sf regionally and 144 million nationally.
In the REMC Executive Suites lease, the tenant has renewed for 33,000 sf at the Airport Center, a 220,000-sf building in the LAX submarket, in a transaction negotiated by Strickfaden. The property also houses the LAX Airport Parking Garage and 24 Hour Fitness, and is adjacent to the Crowne Plaza Hotel – Los Angeles International Airport.
