Bill Goodwin, a senior vice president with CB Richard Ellis in Philadelphia, represented the San Francisco-based RREEF, owner of the new building. Gene McHale, a principal of Beacon Commercial of West Conshohocken, PA represented the tenant. The aggregate rental and further details of the lease were not disclosed.

Based in Aston, PA, ESCO makes land-based arresting systems for military and commercial aircraft. A wholly-owned subsidiary of Zodiac SA of Paris, the company's systems are utilized for safely stopping aircraft.

Working with the Federal Aviation Administration, ESCO created EMAS as an operating division that provides enhanced overrun safety for commercial airports, according to Peter Mahal, president of the division. EMAS' product is composed of a cellular cement material that crushes under the weight of an aircraft to provide controlled deceleration in the event of a runway overrun.

According to Mahal, the relocation of the division's operations from Pennsylvania will involve approximately 40 people. The move is expected to be completed by the end of February.

Developed in Gloucester County by the Pureland Group, Pureland Industrial Park is said to be the largest of its kind on the East Coast. Covering some 3,000 acres, its 15 million sf of building space primarily houses manufacturing, assembly, warehousing and distribution, research and development and office users.
