Garmon formerly was SVP for the Pacific Division of Aimco, the Denver-based apartment REIT. Davenport tells GlobeSt.com that the addition of Garmon to the management team adds strength at the same time that Coldwell Banker Commercial REP has acquired more properties and shopping for more. As reported on GlobeSt.com recently, the Newport Beach firm purchased a $145 million portfolio from Equity Residential and expects to spend at least $300 million more this year for multifamily assets. Davenport says Garmon will be directly responsible for REPs nearly 3,400 units and, he will be instrumental in establishing and maintaining our relationships with a majority of the largest multifamily owners and sellers in the country.
Garmon has served on the board of directors for the California Housing Counsel and the California Apartment Association and has been a keynote speaker at Los Angeles-area apartment conferences. His experience includes more than 14 years in real estate management, with an emphasis on multifamily apartment properties.
