"We want to do a lot more smaller-scale events," noted Michael DeJohn, chapter president, while introducing the event held at CoreNet offices in the Steelcase Showroom along Columbus Circle.
"The Laws of Teamwork" presentation featured success coach Douglas Campbell III discussing topics such as leadership potential, traits of effective leaders and the laws of teamwork.
"One of the biggest challenges when you build a business is how to transition from entrepreneurial," said Campbell, adding that effective leaders need to have a vision and realize that change can provide opportunity. He also discussed various ways to use teamwork effectively. "A measure of a leader is how hard his followers work, not just how hard he works," he said, before leading the attendees in a group exercise designed to challenge team-building skills.
