Bamboo Plaza, at 988 N. Hill St. in Chinatown near Downtown Los Angeles, was sold to a private investor by Bamboo Plaza LLC of Santa Monica. The center, which is anchored by Empress Pavilion Restaurant and Wells Fargo, was 68% leased at the time of sale. Tom Lagos and Ken McLeod of the West Los Angeles office of Grubb & Ellis represented the seller, with the buyer represented by Chuck Volta of First Capital & Investment Group.

In the Valencia transaction, the buyer acquired a 10,000-sf single-tenant building located at the entrance of Six Flags Magic Mountain theme park at Magic Mountain Parkway and The Old Road. The property, occupied by Marie Callenders for the past 20 years, was sold by M. A. Newton Family Partnership to National Credit Tenant Investment LLC as a 1031 exchange. David Lee and Dennis Vaccaro of Faris Lee Investments in Irvine represented the buyer and the seller.
