The Aurora, IN-based manufacturer relocated to 5967 S. Loop East after selling a building off South Post Oak Drive to Harris County for a flood control project, Christopher S. Klein in the Houston office of Colliers International tells GlobeSt.com. He and Dave Core, who oversees the casket manufacturer's Houston division, headed up "an exhaustive search" for new distribution space.

The Southpoint Business Center was "the only small distribution space left along the South Loop," Klein says, adding that Aurora Casket also took the last available spot in a 161,000-sf building owned by the locally based Weingarten Realty Trust. The building's asking rate is 35 cents per sf industrial gross. Mary Jo Giammalva represented Weingarten at the bargaining table.
