Clyde Stauff of the Anaheim office of Colliers Seeley tells GlobeSt.com that Nishimoto has signed a $15-million lease for 219,000 sf of industrial space at the Golden Springs Business Center. Stauff represented Golden Springs, along with Stephen Calhoun of Colliers Seeleys City of Commerce office. The move will be an expansion into larger space for Nishimoto, which distributes Asahi Beer, Golden Ginger, China Sea, Hinoichi Tofu and hundreds of other brands to major US markets.
The new location is especially suited for Nishimoto's expanding business, Stauff says, because it is situated to serve both the Los Angeles and Orange County markets, two areas with growing populations that drive consumer demand for food products.
Nishimoto Foods, which was represented by Hajimu Taguchi of the Torrance office of CB Richard Ellis, is slated to be in the new space this month after making extensive tenant improvements to the building to accommodate the company's storage, refrigeration and distribution needs.
Golden Springs Business Center is a 265-acre master planned business park composed of 26 warehouse and distribution buildings. Phase I of the development consists of 13 buildings ranging in size from 35,000 to 426,092 sf and totaling 2.7 million sf. Phase II of the project, which is currently under development, will consist of 13 buildings totaling 2.4 million sf. Two buildings totaling 451,187 sf have already been completed and are available for lease. The second phase also includes land sites for build-to-suit facilities.
