CBRE's David Solomon and Bennett Robinson report that Image, an entertainment licensing and distribution firm, will relocate and expand from 45,000 sf to occupy the new space at 20525 Nordhoff St. Solomon represented Image, and Robinson represented the landlord, Amiscope Development.
The new facility is newly renovated office space that was originally built as the headquarters for electronics manufacturer Superscope. The two-story building features two 75,000-sf floorplates of office space and extensive warehouse space in the rear. Image will occupy approximately 80% of the second floor.
The building and location proved an ideal fit for Image Entertainment's unique requirements, Solomon says. In addition to freeway access and abundant parking, the large floorplate allows the entire corporate headquarters to be located on one floor, as opposed to multiple floors as in a more traditional office space, Solomon explains.
Image is a leading licensee and distributor of DVD programming in North America, with more than 2,500 exclusive DVD titles in domestic release. The company also has exclusive videocassette, broadcast, video on demand, audio, streaming video and download rights for many of its exclusive properties.
