Dorsey tells GlobeSt.com that the mortgage banking firm is negotiating for approximately 3,000 sf of additional space that will bring its occupancy to nearly 22,000 sf in the six-story, 123,000-sf building. Dorsey, who represented Barrington in the recently signed lease, is also representing the mortgage banking company in its negotiations for the additional space. He explains that Barrington initially occupied about 15,000 sf in the 5000 Birch St. building and was on a sublease for about three and a half years. The tenant is now on a direct lease with landlord Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers of Los Angeles, which was represented by John Weiner of the Irvine office of CB Richard Ellis.

Barrington Capital, which now occupies the entire sixth floor and a portion of the fifth floor in the six-story class A building, will also occupy space on the second and third floors when it completes negotiations for the additional 3,000 sf.
