John Lasiter and Frank Hillebrand of the Torrance office of Grubb & Ellis report that Ital Art Design, a manufacturer of fine Italian design furniture, has purchased the 115,000-sf building at 1935 East Via Arado. Scott Caswell of Van Nuys-based Delphi Business Properties reports that principals of Printing Technologies Inc. have acquired a high-end 50,200-sf industrial facility in Chatsworth for more than $3.5 million that will double their plant capacity in that community.

Ital Art Design is slated to occupy its concrete tilt-up building in May, where the company will move its corporate headquarters, as well as its entire manufacturing process from design to manufacturing, and sales/showroom. The firm will be relocating from 90,000 sf of leased space in Rancho Dominguez. The company also has a facility in High Point, NC. Lasiter and Hillebrand represented the furniture company, with the seller, Yang USA Inc. of Rancho Dominguez, represented by Time Realty.

In the Chatsworth transaction, Caswell says the printing company principals bought their new property through 9526 DeSoto Avenue LLC, acquiring the building and just over two acres of land at 9526 DeSoto. The new owner will employ approximately 100 workers at the site. Caswell and Bruce Simpson, also of Delphi, represented both the buyers and AIRTAL, the seller. Printing Technoloigies is headquartered nearby on Deering Avenue and is a manufacturer of toner cartridges. Its new facility is a concrete tilt-up structure featuring 7,100 sf of office space, six truck doors, 19-foot minimum interior clearance, and 75 on-site parking spaces.
