Prior to his tenure at Insignia and CBRE, Sheehan was a principal at Haddonfield, NJ-based the Source where he sold, financed and appraised investment real estate. Prior to that, he was a VP with Meritage Mortgage Corp. in Philadelphia and, earlier, a regional director with Heritage Mortgage Finance Corp. of Haddonfield. In all, he has more than 27 years of experience in the sale, financing and appraisal of commercial real estate.

Sheehan received the top producer award with Insignia in 1997, 1999, 2000, and 2002, and during his tenure there he participated in 55 transactions totaling more than $750 million. John Derham, C&W's senior managing director and manager of the Philadelphia office, says Sheehan "brings a wealth of experience in both debt and equity to our investment sales team."

A team can only be so large. We were anxious to help Jim (Sheehan) and some other so-called incumbents find opportunities in our company. A few, including Jim, began to look at other opportunities within CB and at outside firms. Jim was very good here, and we certainly wish him well."
