TriStar transfers finished lumber and other products from truck to rail for the building materials industry and ships the goods to locations throughout the US. The company moved to the Port of Vancouver in mid-2002, leasing three acres at the northeast corner of Terminal 2, north of the grain elevator.
The new lease more than doubles TriStar's operating and output capacity. The lease agreement calls for TriStar to pay $7,187.40 per month plus a 12.84% leasehold excise tax and qualifiers.
Construction of infrastructure at the new site will begin immediately. Site preparation will include paving, lighting, fencing, utilities, approximately 1,000 feet of new rail track, and stormwater collection and treatment. The move is slated for October of this year.
