Dremonas' proposal, recommended for approval last week by the city's plan commission, includes dividing the vacant Jewel Food store into four storefronts. Dremonas tells GlobeSt.com the project is expected to cost $3.6 million and take about eight months to complete. "We hope to start by the end of spring," Dremonas says.
The project will be built on a 6.5-acre site, which results in a floor-area-ratio of 0.4. "That's less than what we've seen of late," says Tim Gloor of the Department of Planning and Development. City council approval is expected.
