The lease is a positive move for the plaza, which is currently in the process of a massive renovation. A representative of the Worcester assessor's office tells GlobeSt.com that there were multiple teardowns at the site, which is owned by Sam Adams under the subsidiary Worcester Lincoln LLC. The retail center will ultimately consist of 600,000-sf of retail space on its 45-acre site. Among its current anchor stores are Dick's Sporting Goods, Lowe's Home Improvement Warehouse, Stop & Shop, Target and Bally's Fitness Center.

Barnes & Noble operates 647 Barnes & Noble bookstores in 49 states. It also operates 195 B. Dalton Bookseller stores, primarily in regional shopping malls.
