The 20-story building was completed in 1973 and contains retail and office space. It is currently 100% occupied. The award expands on a seven-year relationship between Septa and US Equities. In 1997, US Equities assumed the management and leasing of Septa's 60,000-sf MetroMarket retail center in the concourse of Center City's Suburban Station.
"This new long-term commitment to US Equities comes as a direct result of the company's excellent work for Septa at MetroMarket," says Gerald M. Maier, director of real estate for the transit authority. Jack Houze, SVP for the real estate firm, the assignment confirms his company's "commitment to Philadelphia's business community."
US Equities' management and leasing portfolio exceeds 37 million sf. It has an office in Detroit and in Buenos Aires, Argentina; Sao Paulo, Brazil, and Santiago Chile.
