Most recently, Vacala Construction bought the 42-year-old building at 4200 W. Victoria in the city's North Park neighborhood from CenterPoint Properties Trust, which paid little more than $1 million for the property in late 2002. The Oak Brook-based REIT had the property, which includes a 1.73-acre site, on the market for $1.6 million.

Also on the North Side, a 29,000-sf industrial building at 3030 N. Tripp Ave. has changed hands for nearly $1.3 million. Tom Condon along with Vern Schultz of Colliers Bennett & Kahnweiler represented Advanced Transformer in negotiations with Paine/Wetzel · ONCOR International associate Kevin M. Riley, who represented a private investor.

Additionally, a 6,000-sf building at 3734 W. Belmont Ave. was acquired by Sabian Cabinetry for $500,000. The woodworking and cabinetry manufacturer is expanding and relocating from 3818 W. Belmont Ave. Riley represented the buyer as well as the seller, Automatic Lithographers.
