The Dutch grocery conglomerate has not disclosed plans for the property. However, the parcel, which is located at Routes 1 and 202, is zoned for retail use, and it has received municipal approvals for development of a 160,000-sf shopping center.

Royal Ahold owns, services, or has interest in about 5,600 supermarkets, hypermarkets, discount stores and specialty stores in Europe and the Americas. It is the leading supermarket operator in the US, primarily on the East Coast, where it operates under such names as Bi-Lo, Giant Food, and Stop & Shop. It also owns US Foodservice, a food distribution company.

Kevin McClernon and Steve Italiano, SVPs in a Philadelphia-area office of CB Richard Ellis, were the sole agents in negotiating the sale contract for Brandy Partners, the seller of the half-interest.
