The new office will operate under a recently restructured Central Florida region headed by Carole Ricci. That district also includes Kissimmee, FL and newly planned offices in Lake Mary, FL and Polk County. Clermont will be the company's second Lake County office.
"This will be the ideal complement for our Mount Dora location which has effectively served much of the central and northern portions of the county," says Daniel A. Wallace, president of the Fidelity National Title's seven-county Central Florida region. "We now will have a capability to address south Lake County as wells as western Orange County, which has been among Central Florida's fastest-growing areas in both residential and commercial (real estate) activity."
The company generates the bulk of its closing real estate business from real estate agents, lenders, builders, lawyers and title agents who issue title insurance policies underwritten by Fidelity National Title. Last year's production of $2.5 billion in closings was a 42% increased 2002 volume of $1.7 billion. Wallace expects 2004 "to be even stronger," based on production from the Clermont office.
