Other recipients of Naree honors at yesterday's luncheon included Dan Tracy of the Orlando Sentinel for Best Overall Entry by an Individual (R. Michelle Breyer of the Austin American Statesmen won Second Place); Daniela Deane of the Washington Post for Best Newspaper Report--More than 200,000 Circulation (John Handley of the Chicago Tribune copped Second-Place kudos); and Carl Larsen of the San Diego Union-Tribune for Best Real Estate or Home Section-- More than 200,000 Circulation (Second Place went to Maryann Haggerty of the Washington Post).
A theme for Naree this year is the development of new talent, and Sean Roth of the Gulf Coast Business Review walked away with the James D. Carper Award for Best Young Journalist. He also won top honors in the Best Newspaper Report--Less Than 200,000 Circulation category (James Temple of the San Francisco Business Times took the number-two slot).
Other winners at the luncheon included Bloomberg News, CBS MarketWatch and Architectural Record.
