The celebrities epitomize the elegance and luxury O'Neill is promoting for the six-story Corinthian in which units will be built to each owner's specifications. There is a choice of seven floorplans for one-, two-, and three-bedroom units ranging from 1,084 sf to nearly 3,000 sf.
The architect is Philadelphia-based Bower, Lewis and Thrower, and Philadelphia Design is the interior design firm. Units will range in price from $469,000 to $999,000. Bank of America and Prudential Real Estate Investors are financing the project.
The first new condominium to be built on Philadelphia's Main Line in 18 years, "Corinthian feeds a starving need for a new ultra-luxury condominium on the Main Line," says J. Brian O'Neill, founder and chairman of the development firm. The target market is "successful executives with careers that demand convenient living as well as traditional Main Liners looking to downsize their housing requirements," he says.
Chip Vaughan, president of the builder firm, promises "the highest level of innovative design elements and select amenities." Among them are imported marbles and granite finishes in the lobby, underground parking, concierge service, conference/meeting rooms, exercise facilities, a residents' library and a hotel suite for residents' guests. Condo units have high ceilings, full or jardinière balconies, walk-in closets, gourmet kitchen appliances, telecommunications capabilities and marble baths.
O'Neill expects more than 1,000 guests at the kick-off gala, where there will be dining, dancing to live music and fireworks. Gene London, former local TV host, will display his private collection of vintage evening gowns, including the late Princess of Monaco's wedding dress. The event, which will benefit the Breast Health Institute, is hosted in conjunction with Saks Fifth Avenue, which is supplying the models.
