Brower moves from Cushman & Wakefield of Pennsylvania where he was associate director of the company's valuation services advisory group. He has more than 20 years of experience in commercial real estate. At C&W he was responsible for the valuation of a variety of types of income-producing real estate, including office buildings, shopping centers, multifamily complexes, investment properties, vacant land, and industrial facilities. Prior to joining C&W, he was VP of First Union Bank.
Meanwhile, PREIT shareholders elected six members to the retail REIT's board of trustees and accepted the resignation of Jeffrey P. Orleans, who has been a trustee since 1986 and was also a member of the company's nominating and governance committee.
Orleans is chairman and CEO of Bensalem, PA-based Orleans Homebuilders, Inc., and resigned due to the demands of his own company's growing business. It builds single-family homes and residential communities throughout Greater Philadelphia, New Jersey, North and South Carolina and Virginia. PREIT's board now includes George F. Rubin, Mark E. Pasquerilla, Edward A. Glickman, Rosemarie B. Greco, Ira M. Lubert, and Donald F. Mazziotti.
