Herbert D. Weitzman, CEO and chairman of the Weitzman Group and Cencor Realty Services, and Harry B. Lucas Sr., CEO of the Harry B. Lucas Co., join an all-star roster of their peers. As in years past, the black-tie induction at the Dallas Country Club attracted the Who's Who of the metroplex. Now that it's the morning after, it's time for the word to make its way across the state.

Weitzman founded the retail powerhouse in 1989, growing it into one of the largest regional commercial real estate firms in the US. Lucas set up his full-service brokerage operation in 1980 when he bought out the locally based Vantage Realty Co., renaming it the following year.

The Hall of Fame committee consists of Chris Teesdale, Robert Grunnah, Jerry Fults, Carl Ewert, Bill McClung, Bob Young and Susan Singer. As the Dallas/Fort Worth brokerage community knows, the Hall of Fame was established in 1987 to honor the local names who've had a significant impact on commercial real estate in the region. Throughout the years, Hall of Fame honors also were accorded to the Henry S. Miller Co., Stemmons Family, Caruth Family and Lincoln Property Co.
