Former Sears Tower vice president and general manager George Rumel now has the same title for the Chicago market, and will oversee Trizec Properties' four Downtown office assets—10 and 120 S. Riverside Plaza, 550 W. Washington St. and 2 N. LaSalle St.
After overseeing building security at Sears Tower, considered a terrorist target in the wake of Sept. 11, 2001, Carlos Villareal expands his focus to Trizec Properties' entire 43-million-sf portfolio. Likewise, Alex Pappas is director of design and construction for the Chicago market, which expands the duties he had at Sears Tower.
Former Sears Tower assistant property manager Maurizio Auriemma has moved up to property manager of 2 N. LaSalle St. Anthony Ortiz, former assistant property manager at 2 N. LaSalle St., becomes property manager at 550 W. Washington Blvd.
"Following the sale of Sears Tower, a number of valued staff members were offered positions by that building's new management and chose to stay with the property," says executive vice president Stephen Budorick, in charge of the Central US region for Trizec Properties. "At the same time, we were extremely pleased to be able to reorganize our local operations and find a way to retain the services of these four key executives."
