"Investors are very bullish on the DC property markets and buyer demand has been very strong," Chuck Blessing Jr., an associate in Marcus & Millichap's DC office, explains of the rash of dispositions. "Washington, DC's solid market fundamentals and expanding local economy give it a high ranking on many investors' lists."
The properties include a 4,700-sf residential and retail building at 2805 M St that commanded $1.6 million, and a 2,500-sf apartment and retail property at 1440 Wisconsin Ave. that sold for just under $1 million. Accounting for a total of approximately 8,000 sf, three apartment buildings at 3336 P St., 3251 Q St., and 2802 Olive St., sold for $1.2 million, $1 million and $1.2 million, respectively. Finally, a small 2,500-sf retail site at 2811 M St. brought in nearly $1 million.
