Daniel Matthews of RE/MAX Alliance tells GlobeSt.com the units are priced similarly to other units he is listing in another inner-city neighborhood that is at the edge of Downtown, but not in the trendy and expensive LoDo or Riverfront Park. A pedestrian bridge is planned across Interstate 25, linking the Highland neighborhood with Downtown.

Marshall, who lives in the northwest Highland neighborhood, tells GlobeSt.com her goal is to have the units ready by the end of August. She is preserving as much of the 110-year-old building as possible, including the exposed bricks, original flooring, woodwork and trim. She has received a $195,000 grant for paint removal and refurbishing 12-foot high windows.

The Weir Building was constructed in 1893. Early users include the long gone Grosney & Edmond Market & Grocery, Home Baking, JB Garvin & Co., Drug & Dry Climate Cigars, Mixed Prints, Warehouse Storage, and Weir Hall, a meeting hall when church was not in session.
