A $10-million check will fund construction of a new Gettysburg Museum and Visitor Center. It will house the museum collection of Civil War and Gettysburg artifacts and a fully restored Gettysburg Cyclorama. Another $5 million in RACP funds will be used to renovate and restore the Gettysburg Majestic Theater, which was built in 1925. Work includes expansion of the lobby and backstage facilities along with the addition of a smaller theater for lectures, small concerts and educational programs.

With an RACP check for $10 million, Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster will start construction of a new $40-million, 100,000-sf Life Sciences Building. The facility will contain laboratories, classrooms, and a greenhouse and aquatics center.

The Lancaster Quilt and Textile Museum received a $1-million check to expand and upgrade its space, primarily to house the Heritage Center of Lancaster County's newly acquired collection of 82 masterpiece Lancaster Amish quilts. In addition, LamTech Inc., a laminate countertop fabricator in Lancaster, received a check for just under $1.4 million to expand facilities in three locations.

York received $5 million to help renovate and convert the Dallmeyer Building, a former cigar factory, into the Greenway Tech Center. The tech center will provide space, fully equipped with fiber optic cable and wireless Internet capabilities to technology-oriented businesses. It is a $10.1-million project, the third and final component of York's Boundary Avenue Project, which began 10 years ago as an effort to attract new business. To date, it has brought more than $22 million in private investment into the area.
